Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla.

- Seeing Jennifer Garner be badass and kickass is always a good thing.
- She plays Riley North, an action hero you’re going to want to root for.
- Always satisfying seeing people get their much deserved comeuppance.
- It has a comfortably familiar revenge story.
- As an action thriller with a revenge plot premise, it’s perfectly fine.
NEGATIVES…
- The derivative and predictable premise may potentially feel boring to watch.
- While I like Riley North, her character development is kinda lacking here.
- Can a movie feel too generic?
