POSITIVES…
Although this is yet another take on Superman’s origin story, the movie manages to shake things up a bit with some nice plot changes and certain character additions.
I liked the voice cast. Solid work by Darren Criss, Zachary Quinto, Ike Amadi, Brett Dalton, Ryan Hurst, and Alexandra Daddario.
Enjoyed the interplay between the characters. Really brought the characters to life.
Had fun with the recurring jokes in this movie. Good stuff!
Several solid action set pieces. I was genuinely engaged seeing those battles.
Really grew to love the animation style of this movie.
This is very close to a traditional Superman movie through and through, in themes and messaging. I think that’s a really good thing.
NEGATIVES…
It’s not necessarily the most exciting or epic Superman movie around.
The pacing somehow felt slower than I think it should have been.
Yes, it’s another origin movie. Did we really need yet another origin movie?
